The goals of the health services program at Clark County R-1 Schools is
  • Promote the safety, health and wellness of all students and staff at Clark County R-I Schools

Children with contagious illness should not be brought to school. Students should not come to school if during the previous 24 hours they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
  •          A temperature of 100 degrees or greater  
  •          Vomiting or diarrhea
  •          An unusual or unexplained rash, unrelenting and itchy
  •          Persistent cough
Students should not come to school if they have been told by a doctor they are contagious or if they have any untreated communicable disease like impetigo, pink eye, scabies, head lice, ring worm, strep throat, etc.
           

Screening Information

      Screenings at Indian Pride Learning Center:

                      Vision, Hearing and Dental screening is performed for Early Childhood Center students.               

                      Students K - 12th grade are screened at age appropriate times or as needed.  

       Screenings at Elementary:
 
                       Vision, Hearing and Dental screening is performed for all students.  
 
       Screenings at Middle School:
 
                         Dental screening is performed for all students. 
 
                         Vision and Hearing screening is performed on 7th grade students.
 
        Screenings at High School:
                         Blood pressure screening is provided to all high school students.

Medications at School

The following  OTC (over-the-counter) medications may be supplied by your school building:  acetaminophen ( i.e. Tylenol), antihistamine liquid or tablet  (i.e. Benadryl), antifungal cream,  anti-itch ointment,  antibiotic ointment, burn ointment or spray, cough drops, throat spray,  antacids (i.e. Tums),  dental or canker sore medication (i.e. Anbesol), eye drops. They will only be provided if the Medical Consent and OTC medication form is on file at school.  For more information on over-the-counter and prescription medications at school, please click HERE for the policy. 

Immunizations

All students must present documentation of up-to-date immunization status, including month, day, and year of each immunization before attending school.
